Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors soccer team fell to the Southeastern University Lady Fire on Webber Field, 5-1.
The Lady Warriors would play hard throughout the game but would be no match for the Lady Fire and would come up short 5-1. The Lady Fire would score the first goal of the game within the first five minutes of play, 1-0. Then in the 41
st minute of the game the Lady Fire would extend their lead, 2-0. The Lady Warriors would respond as
Philippa Wilson would score in the 50
th minute off an assist from
Aubrie Strohmenger, 2-1. The Lady Fire would then score three more goals ending the game on top of the Lady Warriors 5-1.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the field was
Philippa Wilson who scored the only goal for the Lady Warriors.
Leading the Lady Fire on the field were; Sophia Eplin with two goals and Karleigh Smoak who only allowed one goal for the Lady Warriors.
The Lady Warriors record falls to 1-2 overall and the Lady Fire record improves to 2-2 overall.
The Lady Warriors will return to action on Saturday, September 14
th, as they host Robert Morris University starting at 11:00 a.m. on Webber field.
