BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Webber International University Warriors men's tennis team won their first two conference matches. The Warriors first conference match was against SCAD in Orlando on March 19^th and the second was on the WIU Campus Courts on March 20^th against Ave Maria.
 
The Warriors traveled to Orlando to face conference opponent SCAD after a tough loss to NCAA-I Indiana University. The Warriors bounced to get their conference opening win with a score of 5-4. The Warriors would win at #2 doubles with Alwin Leysner and Nickolay Kodinov, 8-2. Then the match went into singles with the Warriors down 2-1. The Warriors would win the match by winning at #3 through #6 singles giving them the 5-4 victory. Winning in singles for the Warriors were: #3 Jonathan Cohen, 6-0, 6-0; #4 Alwin Leysner, 6-1, 6-1; #5 Omar Quesada, 6-2, 6-2; and #6 Patricio Henning, 6-0, 6-1.
 
This would improve the Warriors record to 7-5 overall and 1-0 in The Sun Conference.
 
The Warriors would host conference opponent Ave Maria University looking to extend their conference win streak. They would jump out to an early lead winning all doubles then would win all the singles matches resulting in a 9-0 win.
 
The Warriors improve their record to 8-5 overall and 2-0 in The Sun Conference.
 
The Warriors will return to action on Monday, March 25^th, when they take on NCAA-I St. Johns University.
