BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors tied with the Warner University Lady Royals on Webber Field located in Babson Park, 1-1.
The Lady Warriors started the match only eight players for the game because the rest of the team violated team rules. The Lady Warriors would be back to full strength five minutes after play started. The Lady Warriors and the Lady Royals would not be able to find the back of the net during the first half of play. The Lady Warriors would score the first goal in the 54
th minute of the game when
Ciera Abundez found the back of the net over the Lady Royals goal keeper. Then the Lady Royals would answer with a penalty kick in the 70
th minute of the game. The rest of the game the Lady Warriors and Lady Royals would keep each other from scoring.
The Lady Warriors would outshoot the Lady Royals 22 shots to 9 shots. The Lady Warriors record moves to 1-5-2 overall and 0-2-1 in The Sun Conference and the Lady Royals record moves to 3-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors will return to action on October 11
th, as they host conference opponent University of South Carolina Beaufort at 4:00 p.m. on Webber Field located in Babson Park.
