Grady Morrell and the Lady Warriors as they prepare for a 5 game road trip beginning next week. The first half was a defensive struggle as both teams committed unforced turnovers.

The score at half was 33-29 in favor of WIU in spite of a slow start in which The Lady Warriors committed 14 turnovers and shot 4-11 from the free throw line.
Jasmine Singleton led all scores at the half with 9 points to go along with 5 rebounds.
The second half saw bright spots in the offense as
Yesenia Lora picked up the intensity on both sides of the court. Her teammates responded thus allowing the Warriors to go up by as many as 11 points in the second half. Northwood later made a late run in behind good guard play from Yasmene Harris and Sharnele Brown but the Lady Warriors made key plays down the stretch.
Erin Henry made a go ahead layup to put they Lady Warriors up 7 points with 2 minutes remaining and they never looked back.
Leading the Lady Warriors in offense was
Yesenia Lora with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Jasmine Singleton added 11 points to go with 6 rebounds. Jasmine Rodriguez scored 8 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. With the win the Lady Warriors improve to 8-8 for the season and 3-2 in conference play.
The Lady Warriors take the court again tomorrow afternoon in another conference match against Johnson and Wales University. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
