Lady Warriors Tame Lions, 5-0

Box Score Babson Park, Fla.- It was clear today that the Lady Warriors' soccer team took the field with one thing in mind, winning. In a short game due to a delayed start, the Warriors were able to shut down the Lady Lions, 5-0.
 
Playing with just 70 minutes on the game clock, the Warriors knew that they would need to keep control from the start. Within five minutes of the first half #7 Ashley Palmer posted the Lady Warriors' first goal of the match up. This goal was just one of the four goals the Warriors would post in the first half, followed by #3 Lynn McDonald, #22 Samantha Rommel and #5 Aubrie Strohmenger.
 
Coming back from the half the Lady Warriors stayed strong refusing to surrender any chances for the Lady Lions to make a goal. Although unrelenting the Lady Warriors went on to only score one additional goal of the game, posted by #8 Natalie Mederos. With the game in the Warriors favor, goalie, #1 Makenzie Vance remained alert making two needed saves concluding the shut out of the Lions.
 
Today's win improves the Lady Warriors record to 2-0 and the Lady Lions record falls to 0-2.

The Lady Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, September 11th as they visit Polk State College in an exhibition matchup, starting at 7:00 p.m.
