Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University (Lady Warriors) opened their season hosting St. Leo (Lions) on Monday afternoon, September 3, 2012. The Lady Warriors would prove to be too much for the Lady Lions as they won the game with a score of 3-1.
 
The Lady Lions started off fast as they scored the first goal of the game just over five minutes in. The Lady Warriors would not answer with a goal in the first half even though they had nine shots to the Lady Lions three shots.
 
The Lady Warriors would come out of the locker room fired up looking to start their regular season off with a win. Olivia Skaff found the back of the net at 47:36 on a breakaway. Then Ashley Palmer would score the second goal for the Lady Warriors at 54:52 giving them the lead. The Lady Warriors would then put the game away when Ashley Palmer headed in a corner kick from Natalie Mederos at 84:39 putting the Lady Warriors up 3-1.
 
Leading the Lady Warriors on the field was Ashley Palmer with her two goals. Also leading the Lady Warriors was the entire defense by keeping the strong Lady Lions team out of the back of the net in the second half.
 
The Lady Warriors record improves to 1-0 and the Lady Lions record falls to 1-1.
