Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International Lady Warriors Soccer Team defeated Ave Maria University convincingly with a 6-0 shutout. The Lady Warriors proved that they are a team to be reckoned with in The Sun Conference after an impressive showing against the visiting Gyrenes.

Ashley Palmer scored the first two goals early on in the game to set the tone. She was assisted by Lynn McDonald on the second goal. Alisha Keene and Alexis Garrand later scored two more goals respectively to give WIU a 4-0 lead heading into halftime.

The second half was almost a duplicated of the first half as the Lady Warriors came out as the more aggressive team. Nathalie Mederos and Samantha Rommel added more fuel to the fire by scoring two more goals.
WIU controlled the game from start to finish. They finished the game with a season high 31 shots at the goal compared to only 2 shots by the Gyrenes. Makenzie Vance had 2 save for the Lady Warriors. Visiting goal keeper Kayla Hanel finished the game with 12 saves.

The Lady Warriors will be in action again next week Friday when the travel to South Carolina to play University of South Carolina Beaufort at 1:00 p.m.
