Warriors fall to Bulldogs, 10-7

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors football team faced off against NAIA opponent Union College Bulldogs on Saturday, September 22. The Warriors would come up short in the fourth quarter against the Bulldogs losing the game 10-7.
 
The Warriors would play well in the first half as they would score the first points of the game with 34 seconds left to play in the first quarter on a Larry Gaskins 13 yard run, 7-0. Both teams would not score any more points in the first half of play.
 
The Warriors would come out of the locker room looking to add to their lead over the Bulldogs but the Bulldogs would have other plans scoring the first points in the second half on a 22 yard field goal, 7-3. The following kickoff the Bulldogs would recover a fumble which would result in a touchdown 10-7.
 
Leading the Warriors on the field defensively was Nate Keller with 6 solo tackles 11, assisted tackles, two sacks for negative 22 yards and 5.5 tackles for a total loss of 27 yards.
 
The Warriors record falls to 0-4 and the Bulldogs record improves to 2-2.
 
The Warriors will be off next week and return to action on Saturday,  October 6th, when they travel to Atherton, Calif. Where they will face off against Menlo College at 12:00 p.m. (PST) or 3:00 p.m. (EST).
