BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University football team opens their season with a home game at Legion Field, in Lake Wales, on Saturday, September 1
st. The Warriors will be hosting a NCAA-III opponent, Louisiana College. Kickoff is slated for 12 noon.
WIU hopes to get off to a much better start than they did in the 2011 season, as they dropped their first five games before finishing the season with a 4-6 record.
Admission to the game is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and Sr. Citizens. If you desire reserved seating, tickets are available for $12.00.
The opening game has been designated as Babson Park Appreciation Day. All residents of Babson Park and Hillcrest Heights will be admitted to the game free. Those attending must show a valid driver's license or utility bill at the ticket office and they will get up to four tickets for the game. Any additional Tickets needed, for a family larger than four, may be purchased for $3.00 each.
