Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University's Warriors baseball team traveled to Eckerd College to take on the Tritons on Wednesday night. The Warriors fought hard early in the game against the Tritons but came up short losing the game 13-6.
The Warriors got off to a strong start when
Josh Longbrake drove in
Shane McIntyre in the first inning. The Warriors would then give up three runs to the Tritons in the bottom of the second inning. Then in the top of the fourth inning the Warriors would tie the game at 3-3 when
Taylor Mathis drove in
Kyle Russo and
Ryan Regidor. In the bottom of the fifth inning the Tritons would regain the lead scoring three runs in the inning. Webber would score one run in the top of the sixth inning from
Travis Noland's flied out to center field which scored
Kyle Russo and their last two runs in the top of the eighth inning when
Travis Noland singled which scored
Nick Pascente and
Taylor Mathis.
The Warriors record falls to 20-18 overall and 10-7 in The Sun Conference.
The Warriors will be back in action on Friday, April 6, 2012 as they host conference rival Florida Memorial University starting at 3:00 p.m.
