KISSIMMEE, Fla. – On Wednesday, at Oak Street Park, in Kissimmee, the Webber International men's tennis team defeated NAIA opponent, Davenport (MI). The Warriors won by a 9-0 score, improving their record to 5-2 for the season.
 
Winning in doubles for the WIU were: #1 Daniel Spurny and Valentine Bayh, 8-5; #2 Tyler Heath and Carl Ackard, 8-2; #3 Jonnas Jalkanen and Andres Riobueno, 8-3.
 
Singles winners for the Warriors were: #1 Spurny, 4-6, 6-1, 10-5; #2 Ackerd, 6-2, 6-3; #3 Bayh 6-0, 6-0; #4 Heath, 6-2, 6-3; #5 Marcel Schmitt, 6-1, 6-1; #6 Alwin Leysner, 6-3, 6-3.
 
The Warriors will be in Miami on Saturday to play St. Thomas University. The match is on the STU campus and begins at 10 a.m.
