Warriors Continue Friday success in Conference as they put the flame out on the Fire

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Warriors improve their record to 4-0 on Friday games in conference. The Warriors sent Sr. Chaz Abeln to the mound looking for his 2nd win on the year. Abeln continued his success on the mount and was able to toss 6 inns. while giving up 3 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 1 unearned run. Offensively the Warriors bats came alive as they recorded 13 hits but struggled to get runs across as they left 12 runners on base. The Warriors broke the scoreless game in the 3rd with a 1 out double by Longbrake followed by an RBI single by Self. Webber would push 2 more runs across in the 4th and again in the 8th.

Abeln picked up the win and improved his record to 2-2 and the Warriors to 15-12. (5-4 in conference) Payton was able to finish the game throwing 3 inns and only allowing 2 runs while picking up his 1st save on the year. Offensively the Warriors were led by Longbrake going 4-4 with 2 runs, and an RBI. Self also picked up 3 hits and 3 RBI's and Mathis also picked up 2 hits.

The Warriors will take the field again tomorrow afternoon with the Doubleheader beginning at noon.
