BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Warner University men's tennis team upset the #18 ranked Warriors of Webber International University on Wednesday on the WIU Campus Courts. Warner won the match, 5-4, improving their record to 1-1 on the season. WIU drops to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in The Sun Conference.

Warner swept the doubles to take a 3-0 lead in the match. The Warriors fought back in singles, but only won 4 of the 6 matches, falling short of the 5 they needed.

 Winning in singles for Webber were: #3 Carl Ackered, 6-2, 6-0; #4 Valentin Bayh, 7-5, 6-4; #5 Marcel Schmitt, 6-2, 1-6, 11-9; #6 Alwin Leysner, 2-6 6-3, 10-5.

On Thursday at 3:00 p.m., on the WIU Campus Courts the Webber men's JV team will be playing the Warner men's JV squad.
