Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, VA –The Webber International University Warriors ended their season with a 13-12 win over the Newport News Apprentice Builders.
The Warriors controlled the first half of the game as they scored the first points with 6:04 left in the first quarter on a 14 yard Kody Sallis reception from Baylin Trjillo, 7-0. The Warriors would score again with less than 30 seconds on the clock until the end of the half.
Brendan Deshields would punch the ball in from three yards out, 13-0.
The Builders would come out of the locker-room fired up after blocking the extra point attempt from
Anthony Woythaler. The Builders would score two defensive touchdowns to get within two points but missed both extra point attempts.
Leaders for the Warriors on defense were ; #2 Nate Keller with 6 solo tackles 5 assists 1 sacks for 5 yards and; #54
Christopher Thomas with 8 solo tackles 4 assists and one tackle for a one yard loss.
The Warriors finished their season with a record of 4-6 and the Builders record falls to 2-8.
