BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University Women's Soccer Team bounced back today with a huge win vs conference opponent Thomas University today with a 1-0 final score.
The Lady Warriors came into the game with a “must win” mentality after losing Friday's game against Embry Riddle. WIU knew that they needed to get off to a fast start and that's what they got from their players. WIU took 8 shots at the goal in the first half compared to Thomas' 3 shots.
Sophomore
Ciera Abundez scored early in the second half to put the Lady Warriors up 1-0 and they never looked back afterwards. The game got physical towards the end with both teams fighting to score but when the final horn ended; the Lady Warriors came out victorious with yet another huge win. Alisha Keene,
