Warriors Football Rolls Over Ave Maria, 35-12

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors hosted Ave Maria University Gyrenes at Legion Field located in Lake Wales, Florida. The Warriors also celebrated homecoming and senior day at the same time during the game and won with a final score of 35-12.
 
The Warriors would score the first points of the game on a Brendan Deshields seven yard run with 9:40 left in the first quarter, 7-0 Warriors. With 1:58 left in the first quarter Mason Prater would add to the Warriors lead when he kick a 30 yard field goal, 10-0 Warriors. The Warriors Deonte Fielder would be the next player to find the end zone on a 27 yard pass from Kentrall Mims, 16-0 Warriors. The Gyrenes would score the next 12 points in the first half and went into the locker room, 16-12 Warriors.
 
In the second half of the game the Warriors would score on a 21 yard pass from Mason Prater to Leandro Barbosa on a fake field goal extending their lead, 23-12 Warriors. With 1:56 left in the third quarter Kentrall Mims would run in from one yard out, 29-12. The Warriors Mason Prater would score the last six points for the Warriors on two field goals the first from 32 yard out and the second from 39 yards out ending the game, 35-12 Warriors.
 
The Warriors record improves to 3-5 overall and the Gyrenes fall to 1-5 overall.
 
The Warriors will return to action on Saturday, November 3rd, when they travel to Buena Vista, Virginia where they will face off against Southern Virginia University starting at 1:00 p.m.
