BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International Women's Soccer team defeated #16 ranked Northwood University with a final score of 2-1.

The game was nonstop action from start to finish as both teams came out aggressive early in an attempt to set the tone but it was the Lady Warriors that jumped out early with a goal by Aubrie Strohmenger 33:00 minutes into the game. Olivia Skaff assisted on Strohmenger's goal. The Warriors went into the half with a 1-0 lead.  The Seahawks had 9 shots at the goal while WIU had 3 shots at goal.

The second half was even more entertaining as the Seahawks came out with more desperation being behind. The Warriors seemed composed as they took control of the second half with another goal scored this time by senior Alisha Keene. The pressure was on Northwood and they could sense the game slipping away. With less than four minutes remaining in the game, the Seahawks scored their first goal of the game by forward Helen Lynskey but it seemed a little too late as time was not in their favor as the game came to an end.

It was an impressive win for the Lady Warriors who have been playing really well as of late coming off a huge win against Palm Beach Atlantic University.

The Lady Warriors will wrap up their regular season this Friday when the face Warner University at home. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
