LAKE WALES, Fla. - Webber International Women's Soccer team lost in a nail bitter match to cross town rival Warner University with a final score of 1-0.
There was a lot at stake for both teams not only because it was a rival match, but it was also an important match for both teams in terms of playoff positioning. The Lady Warriors clearly had the better stats on the final box score but they fail to connect on scoring. Lindsey McCabe of Warner scored the only goal in the game late in the 1
st Half 33:00 minutes into the game.
The Lady Warriors had to fight to get themselves back in the game but they missed out on many opportunities to score. WIU had 29 shots compared to Warner's 2 shots the entire game but could not capitalize on any.
Ashley Palmer led the squad with 9 shots followed by
Daryl Fuentes with 4 shots. The Lady Warriors beat themselves in an important game that they we confident about leading up to the game.
