BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber baseball team defeated the Northwood University Seahawks 8-5 in a The Sun Conference matchup.
The Warriors took a commanding 5-1 lead into the fourth inning but Northwood managed to tie the game by pushing four runs across. Webber then scored three in the sixth to put the game away.
Leading the way at the dish for Webber was
Nick Pascente who had three hits, two runs scored and two runs driven in.
Hunter Ovens scored three runs and hit a solo home run.
Danny Bishop got the win tossing four innings in relief of starter
Rob Lane. Lane allowed five runs on five hits and struck out seven. Bishop only allowed one hit in his four innings of relief.
The Warriors improve to 29-22 and a 13-12 in TSC play. The same two teams will meet again tomorrow in a double header starting at noon.
