BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber baseball team lost to the Warriors of Indiana Tech 5-4.
Webber took the early lead by scoring a run in the first inning and tallying two more in the third. Indiana Tech just kept chipping away at the deficit scoring runs in the fourth and fifth innings and then crossing the plate three times in the seventh after a misplayed fly ball was not caught extended the inning.
Starting pitcher Ryan O'Gara threw well enough to win tossing six and two thirds innings allowing five runs on five hits while striking out nine.
Leading the way for the hometown Warriors was Hunter Ovens who had three hits and three RBI's. Carlo Galluccio chipped in with two hits and two runs scored.
The same two teams will meet up again tomorrow in a double header with the first game scheduled for a noon start.
