Late Inning Heroics Prevail Warriors

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber baseball team swept their double header against Indiana Tech. Both games were won in the last inning. Game one was 5-4 and game two was 7-6.
In game one Hunter Ovens drove in Travis Noland for the winning run. Ovens led the way at the plate picking up three hits and drove in two including a homerun in the first inning. Nate Goldstein also had three hits in the game.
Game two saw the Warriors go down 5-0 in the first inning. Webber battled back and tied it up with three runs in the second and two in the third. Indiana Tech took the lead with a run in the sixth but Webber again Ovens drove in the tying run and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. With the hits Ovens now has a 23 game hitting streak.
Josh Longbrake had two hits with two RBI's in the second game. Alex Martinez also had two hits.
With the wins Webber improves to 21-14 on the season. They will take the field again Friday March 25 when they travel to Savannah for a conference matchup with the Bees of SCAD.
