BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber baseball team lost their home opener 5-0 to NCAA II Eckerd College. The Warriors could only scrounge up three hits in the loss.
The Tritons scored a pair of runs early in the second inning and tacked on solo runs in the fourth, fifth, and eighth innings to secure the 5-0 shutout.
Sophomore,
Billy Farrell was the only offense for the Warriors as he picked up all three hits.
Tritons pitcher Dan Cuda tossed an eight inning gem allowing just the three hits with no walks and eight strike outs. Picking up the loss for the Warriors was
Ryan Gibbard (0-1) who threw five and two thirds innings allowing four runs on eight hits, walking four and striking out four.
