2/21/2011 3:42:50 PM

Indianapolis, Indiana - In the largest collegiate field ever assembled, men's teams from 76 universities converged to the 80 lane Western Bowl to do battle in the last regular event of the season.  Webber International was the defending champion having won the 2010 Hoosier Classic, going 9-0 in math play.

The Hoosier Classic is known for it's challenging lane conditions.  Teams bowled 6 games on 39' on Saturday and 3 games on 46' on Sunday Morning.  After being in 4th place after day 1, the Warriors dropped to 8th hampered by poor spare shooting on day 2.  But, the Warriors bowled a solid final 9th game to earn the last qualifying spot into match play.

In Round 1, the Quarter-Finals, Webber International faced defending national champions Wichita State defeating them easily  in 3 straight games (199-145, 213-197, 210-180) in the best of five opening match on the match play 34' foot pattern.

In the Semi-Finals, the Warriors faced Morehead State.  Webber would have a chance in the 9th and 10th frames of each match to defeat the Eagles but fell short (186-195, 151-164, 213-223)
