Webber Tennis Defeats NCAA-I Bethune-Cookman

Babson Park, Fla.- The Webber International University men's tennis team defeated Bethune-Cookman College, a NCAA-I school, 6-3 on the WIU Campus Courts Saturday afternoon. Webber improves to 4-2 overall on the season. B-CC falls to 0-3.
The Warriors took a 2-1 lead after doubles play. The winners for Webber were the #1 team Andres Riobueno and Thiago Marion, 8-4 and the #2 team of Rafael Teixeira and Juuso Tapaneinen, 8-5.
Singles winners for the Warriors were: #2-Riobueno, 6-4,3-6,10-8; #3- Marion, 6-2,6-4; #4 Tapaneinen, 6-3,6-4; #6- Alwin Leysner, 6-2,6-0.
The win was Coach Bill Heath's 599th win in tennis, the Warriors next match is on Monday at 3 p.m. at Oak Street Park in Kissimmee, where they will take on Concordia- Moorhead (MN).
The Lady Warriors will be playing the same opponent at the same time also. With a win from either team, Heath will hit the 600th win mark on Monday. “Six-hundred wins is nice, but I want to leave the courts on Monday with 601,” stated Heath.
