Babson Park, Fla. - The Webber International University JV men's tennis hosted their Crooked Lake rivals and Sun Conference opponent Warner University JV today, February 14th. At the end of the match the JV Warriors were victorious over JV Warner University, 8-1. The JV Warriors are now 1-0 overall and 1-0 in The Sun Conference.
WIU JV started strong as they took the led after doubles winning 2 of the 3 doubles matches, 2-1. Winning in doubles for the Warriors was the #1 JV team
Andres Riobueno and Pedro DeAngie, 8-3 and the #2 JV team composed of
Gustavo Maeso and Santiago Martinez, 8-1.
The Warriors continued their success in singles as swept the Royals in all 6 singles matches. Winning for the JV Warriors was #1 Joonas Jalkenen, 9-8(7); #2 DeAngie 8-4; #3 Maeso, 8-4; #4 Martinez, 8-2; #5
Reyne Hospedales, 8-3; and #6 Adam Sivertsson, 8-6. Warner's JV now falls to 0-1 overall and in 0-1 The Sun Conference.
