Warriors Fell to Cougars in Five

Clearwater, Fla. – Lady Warriors visited Clearwater Christian College to take vengeance from their earlier sweep on November 1, 2011, but could not overcome the strong offense and defense by the Cougars, where they fell 2-3 (25-17, 18-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-17).
                       
Lauren Colton (WIU) was a team leader with .533 hitting percentage and 9 kills, she also added 6 blocks, and dug one ball. Emma Kile led Lady Cougars to a victory with 31 kills and .306 hitting percentage, 2 serving aces, 9 digs, and 2 block assists.
 
Webber International had 58 total kills (.150 overall hitting percentage), 57 total assists, 3 serving aces, 74 defensive digs, and 12.5 total blocks. Clearwater Christian College had 66 total kills (.183 overall hitting percentage), 64 total assists, 4 serving aces, 83 defensive digs, and 4 blocks.
 
At the end of the hard fought match between two respected programs, Clearwater Christian College was able to deliver a victory to their only senior Emma Kile in five sets. Webber International University dropped to 19-8 and still holds a second place in The Sun Conference with a 10-1 record. Clearwater Christian College improves to 36-7 overall record.

Lady Warriors will travel to Georgia this weekend to finish the regular season by playing Coastal College of Georgian on Friday November 4, 2011 at 6 pm, and finish the season by playing SCAD Savannah in a conference match on Saturday November 5, 2011 at 2 pm. WIU has already made into The Sun Conference playoff which will be held on November 11-12, 2011.
