Warriors Drop a Close One to Eckerd; Bid Farewell to Seniors

BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Warrior baseball team had their senior night last night as they took on the Tritons of Eckerd College.
The pregame festivities honored the 2010 class of seniors. Their hard work and dedication to the Warrior baseball program has been much appreciated by their coaches and teammates. Those seniors were four year letterman Duane Bowman, two year letterman Shawn Mayhew, two year letterman Brett Book, two year letterman Tito Carrillo, two year letterman Chris Kirk, two year letterman Jason Benkert, two year letterman Lance Lozan, two year letterman Dominic Murray, two year letterman Tom Taylor, two year letterman Sean Bryant and one year letterman Ryan Jamison.
As for the game, the Warriors fell 4-2. Leading the way at the plate was senior Shawn Mayhew who collected two hits and Nate Goldstein who also had a couple of hits and a run scored. Seniors Brett Book and Tito Carrillo also had hits in the game. On the mound, Senior Dominic Murray started the game and tossed two innings only allowing one hit. He was followed by Will Arnold who threw two innings allowing a run on two hits. Then senior Tom Taylor toed the rubber for an inning allowing no runs and no hits. Carlo Galluccio gave up three runs on one hit in his inning of work before giving way to senior Chris Kirk who struck out three in his three innings of work and allowed only one base runner.
The Warriors end their season with a 24-31 record. Good luck to all the seniors in their future endeavors!
