BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Warriors took on the Sandsharks of USCB in a doubleheader and won game one 7-1 behind a good pitching performnce by Chris Kirk and then lost the second game14-0.
Game one was highlighted by the pitching of Kirk as he threw a complete game allowing seven hits and one unearned run. He struck out six Sandsharks along the way. Leading the way at the plate for the Warriors was Brett Book who had two hits and Ryan Regidor who drove in two runs.
Game two was dominated by USCB as they run ruled the Warriors 14-0 in seven innings. The Sandsharks tallied nineteen hits while their pitchers only surrendered four hits to the Warriors. Those hits were collected by Regidor, who had two, and Billy Farrell who also had two hits.
The Warriors end their conference season with a 9-18 record and run their overall record to 24-30. They will wrap-up the 2010 campaign this Tuesday as they take on Eckerd College at home. First pitched is scheduled for seven o'clock.
