BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber baseball team took on the Sandsharks of South Carolina-Beaufort and fell by the score of 9-3. The Warriors drop to 8-17 in The Sun Conference.
USCB scored five in the first inning and never looked back as starting pitcher Adam Miller shut down the Warrior offense for nine innings. Leading the way for the Warriors at the plate was Nate Goldstein who collected two hits. Jon Williamson and Manny Ramirez had back to back RBI doubles in the ninth.
The two teams will meet again Saturday to complete the three game series. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
