Babson Park, Fla. – Webber International University ranked #15 in the nation, fell to #17 ranked Oklahoma Baptist University 5-1 at the Auburndale City Tennis Courts on Tuesday evening.

 

The Warriors found themselves down 2-1 after doubles play and could not recover the deficit during the singles. Wining doubles was the #3 team, of Juuso Tapaneinen and Thiago Marion, 8-5.

 

The Warriors did not win a singles match and the match was halted, by mutual agreement of the coaches, after OBU won three singles matches to clinch five points and the win. All three matches that were stopped were in the third set.

 

The Warriors are now 10-4 on the season

 

“Oklahoma Baptist was the better team tonight, they came ready to play and they do have a very good team,” stated Coach Bill Heath.
