BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber baseball team played a doubleheader against Doane College of Nebraska and lost both by scores of 10-4 and 3-0.
The Tigers jumped out early in the first game and scored six runs in the first which was too much for the Warriors to overcome. Leading the way for Webber at the plate was Jon Williamson who collected two hits in two at bats and Jose Ramos who went two-for-three with two runs scored. Cody Barnes and Tom Taylor both picked up their first hits of the season.
In game two the Warriors could only manage two hits by Ryan Jamison and Randy Hernandez. They got four innings out of Josh Davis on the mound who gave up three runs on seven hits, walked three and struck out three. Dominic Murray then took the hill and tossed three stellar innings only allowing three hits and notched four more strikeouts.
Webber runs their record to 14-14 on the year and will face Indiana Tech this Wednesday in a doubleheader at home with the first pitch scheduled for 4 pm.
