Babson Park, Fla. – On Saturday, at Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, the Webber International men's tennis team defeated Bethel University (MN) 9-0.
Singles winners for WIU were: #1 Rafael Teixeira 6-1, 6-3; #2 Philippe Andermatt 6-3, 6-1; #3 Juuso Tapaeinen 6-1, 6-0; #4 Caio Cardoso 6-0, 6-2; #5 Thiago Marion 6-2, 6-3; and #6 Tyler Heath 5-7, 6-4, 10-2.
Doubles winners for the Warriors were: #1 Andermatt and Cardoso 8-4; #2 Teixeira and Marion 8-6; #3 Tapaneinen and Heath 8-5.
This was the Warriors 8th consecutive win and improved them to 10-3 on the season. The 15th ranked Warriors next match is on Tuesday, March 16th, at 5:30p.m. at the Auburndale City Courts. They will be playing the #17 ranked Oklahoma Baptist University.
