Warriors Sweep Gyrenes

Babson Park, Fla. – The Warriors baseball teamtheir double header against Ave Maria wining game one 8-1 and then finishing the day winning game two 3-1.
IN game one the Warriors got an outstanding pitching performance by Will Arnold who threw six innings only allowing one run on two hits and struck out three. Jesse Wiggington finished the game tossing a perfect seventh inning.
Leading the way at the dish for Webber was Darin Jones who went three-for-four with four runs batted in and a run scored. Carlo Galluccio also had a big game picking up three hits of his own and scoring two runs. Ryan Jamison continued to swing a hot bat collecting two more hits and scoring two runs.
Game two saw much of the same for the Warriors on the mound as Sean Bryant threw the ball well going six innings allowing one run on five hits and fanned seven Gyrenes. Ryan Gibbard came on in the seventh to pick up the save only allowing one hit.
At the plate, Nate Goldstein picked up two hits and drove in a run. Jamison collected another hit and scored two more runs while Shawn Mayhew and Lance Lozan both had a hit in the contest.
The Warriors are now 5-2 on the season and will take the field again next Friday as they travel to Miami to start their Conference season and take on Florida Memorial.
