Lady Warriors Fell in Season Opener

Babson Park, Fla. –Lady Warriors lost 40-78 in their season opener to Faulkner University on November 6, 2010.

Webber International University women's basketball overall record is 0-1 and The Sun Conference record is 0-0.

The Warriors scored 16 points in the first half and 24 in the second half; whereas Lady Eagles had 38 points in the first half and 40 in their second half.

Webber had 2 3-point shots, 40 total rebounds, 40 points, 4 blocks, and 5 steals.

The Warriors field goal percentage was 20.6% for the entire game. The free throws were a little problem for Webber, were they shot only 54.5% in the game.

Nikki King led the Lady Warriors. She had 0-1 3-pointers, 1-7 free throws, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 11 points, and she helped defensively with 2 amazing steals, and a block. Her amazing performance was not enough to stop Lady Eagles.

Lady Warriors could not contain Brittney Carter from Faulkner. She had a double-double with 12 rebounds and 18 points. Lady Eagles' field goal percentage was 46.9% in the entire game, 38.5% in 3 point field goals, and 56.5% in free throws.

Lady Warriors will play Florida Tech away on November 8, 2010 at 7 p.m.
