Clearwater, Fla. – Webber International University Lady Warriors defeated Clearwater Christian College, yesterday (Tuesday, November 16th) in Clearwater, Fla., 85-56.
WIU improves their record to 1-1 on the season and the Lady Cougars drop to 0-2 on the season.
Leading the Warriors with 20 points was sophomore guard,
Kala Alicea. Senior, center,
Nikki King had a double double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
The Lady Warriors will be hosting their annual “Warrior Turkey Shoot” beginning, Friday, November 26th until Sunday, November 28th. In the tournament, WIU will host, Eastern Oregon, Daeman College, and Warner University. The first teams to take the court (November 26th) will be Warner University versus Eastern Oregon; tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
WIU will not take the court until Saturday, November 27th, as they also take on Eastern Oregon at 7 p.m. They will play Daeman College, Sunday, November 28th, at 4 p.m.
