Gainesville, FL - As the newly crowned champion of the 2nd Annual Gainesville Classic this past weekend, the bowling team made history with a 1-2 finish in the men's tournament with a win on the women's side as well.

After day 1, WIU was 126 pins behind the University of Central Florida.  Soon into day 2, WIU took the lead and never looked back winning it's second consecutive tournament.  The Webber International Men's Bowling Team has now won three tournaments this season.  Earlier in the season, WIU won the Tier II Central Florida Classic as well as the Tier I Nittany Lion Kegler Classic a few weeks ago.

TJ Baral was also named to his first All-Tournament team.
