10/27/2009 6:14:49 PM

BABSON PARK, FLA.-As sophomore Magen Carey pulled her second hat-trick of the season, the Lady Warrior women's soccer took control over Clearwater Christian College during WIU's last regular season game, with a score of 7-0.

Magen Carey opened up the scoring, making her first goal of the game at the 6:35 mark, which was assisted by Jeanett Klubien.  The next two goals didn't come until 30 minutes later, when Alexis Bershaw and Natalie Leslie both scored ten minutes apart from each other, both goals were which assisted by Christin Carson.

WIU's Carey started the second half with her second goal of the game, with an assist by Leslie.  Denmark native's Jeanett Klubien and Cecile Ancher scored three minutes apart in the second half, with assists from Joy Rosano and Carey.  The last goal of the game came from Carey, as she took a penalty kick straight to the net to give the Warriors the 7-0 lead.

Not only was the WIU offense on point, but so was their defense, as the Lady Warrior defense did not let Clearwater Christian get one single shot in on the day.

The Lady Warriors final overall record is now 11-4-1.  The semi-finals for The Sun Conference starts on Saturday, November 7th.  Please check back for me details about who WIU will end up facing.
