BABSON PARK, FLORIDA-Freshman Alisabeth Berry helped guided the Lady Warrior soccer team to their sixth conference win of the season, scoring a hat trick to help WIU defeat Florida Memorial University 7-0 on October 25 at Warrior Field.
With the day starting out as celebrating seniors Christin Carson and Kelsey Coats, the Lady Warriors dominated within the first 10 minutes of the game, with Carson scoring the first goal of the game and Magen Carey scoring almost two minutes after, both goals being assisted by Erin Spry. Two of Berry's goals also scored in the first half, making the half time score 4-0. Her goals were assited by Joy Rosano and Taylor Larochelle.
WIU picked up where they left off in the second half, with Carey and Berry scoring within the first eight minutes of the half, which Jeanette Klubien was the assist for Berry's last goal. The last goal of the game came from Lexi Bershaw, who took the goal from a perfectly placed free kick from Isa Miranda to make the final score 7-0.
The Warriors are now 10-4-1 overall, with a 7-2 conference record. They sit third in the conference, as this was the last conference game of the season. Look back later for details about the conference tournament.
