BABSON PARK, FL.-After an exciting win against conference foe Warner University October 16th, the Lady Warriors were at it again, giving us a thriller of a game against St. Thomas University on Friday, October 23rd.  They defeated the Bobcats 2-1, giving them a 6-2 record in The Sun Conference and a 9-4-1 overall record.

The Lady Warriors jumped out first, as Magen Carey netted a ball in from a Taylor Larochelle assist five minutes into the half started.  The Lady Warriors were able to keep St. Thomas silent, only letting them get two shots in the half.

St. Thomas (5-8-1, TSC 4-3-1) opened up the second half with a goal by Sylvia Palmero at the 55:21 mark, but Carey again answered with her 14th goal of the season after getting a pass from Alisabeth Berry.  With the fans on their feet and suspense in the air with the last 10 minutes of this very heated battle, WIU pulled the win away from the Bobcats.

The Lady Warriors will be in action again as they get set to take on Florida Memorial University Sunday, October 25th at 1:00 pm.  WIU will be celebrating two of their seniors during the game, Christin Carson and Kelsey Coates.
