Julianne Dougherty

Julianne Dougherty-Calcote

Formally known as Julianne Dougherty, Julianne Calcote is a native from Orlando, Florida. Calcote attended Timber Creek High School where she lettered in varsity volleyball for four years and served as captain for two. In 2006, Calcote’s high school team finished runner-up in the state tournament. During her high school volleyball years, Calcote also played club volleyball for Orlando Volleyball Academy before committing to Webber International University in 2008.

While attending Webber International, Calcote played indoor and beach volleyball while receiving her bachelor’s degree in sport management. During her time as a player at Webber, Calcote helped the 2008 squad win a conference championship and a trip to the first round of the National Tournament. In 2009, Calcote earned first-team all-conference and a trip to the conference tournament. In 2011, Calcote received first-team all-conference as well as two consecutive awards for player-of-the-week. Calcote was a captain for three out of the four years that she participated in women’s indoor volleyball.

During her time on the beach team, Julianne had top-10 finishes in the Fiesta on Siesta Collegiate Tournament in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2013, her and her partner had a runner up finish vs Florida State University.

In 2014, Calcote also received her master’s from Webber International University in international business. During this time is when she became an assistant for the beach volleyball program. Currently, Coach Calcote is the assistant for the women’s indoor volleyball program and the Head Coach for the beach program. Coach Calcote is going in to her fifth season coaching at Webber.

Calcote currently resides in Orlando, Florida, with her husband, Kyle Calcote.
