Jason Navas has coached at many levels of soccer in Florida for the pasts four years before coming to Webber International University in the fall of 2017.

Prior to Webber, Jason had worked with the girls' and boys' programs at West Florida Flames. At West Florida Flames, Navas was a part of the ECNL program, helping coach one of the youngest groups in the pre-ECNL, the U13 girls. Jason was the head coach for the West Florida Flames U16 girls, U13 boys and U10 girls Academy.
 

Jason has worked with goalies at many ages and levels.
 Jason has also been an Assistant Coach for both the men's and women’s varsity soccer teams at River Ridge High School. The men’s team made many regional appearances, coming close to a state appearance once during Navas' tenure. If you ask Jason what his favorite part of coaching is, it would be the numerous camps he has coached at including Coach Bill and Rashawn Finesse and Finishing Soccer Camp, Ged O’Connor Soccer Camp, and FC Barcelona Camp.

 

Jason's playing experience started in New York, but most of his youth took place in Florida playing for West Pasco and Clearwater Chargers. He was a four-year varsity soccer player, earned Tampa Tribune and All-Suncoast Honors, played for the Chargers DA system, and was an alternate on the 96 ODP National Champion team. Jason also played in an all-star match against Liverpool Youth Academy, and has attended US National Team training camps. He hopes to bring all this knowledge to his current position at Webber. 

 

Jason is a United States Soccer Federation licensed coach and is in the process of obtaining his C license. He has many diplomas through the NSCAA including: Futsal, Attacking & Defending Principles of play, Small Sided games, Special topics, Key moments in the game, and Goalkeeping 1 & 2. Jason also privately trains current and former semi-professional soccer players as well as collegiate athletes.
