Coach Doug MacCraw came to Webber International University in the fall of 2022 joining the coaching staff as a Grad Assistant helping in all phases of training. In his first year with Webber, MacCraw assisted in guiding the program in one of its most successful campaigns going 8-4-3 on the season.

In February 2023, MacCraw was elevated to Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach moving the program forward especially in the recruiting department. MacCraw is working on his MBA in Sports Business Management looking to complete his master’s degree in summer of 2024.

MacCraw has been a fixture within Central Florida soccer for the past 20 years. He has been the Head Coach for teams in the WPSL, UPSL, UWS, and various youth soccer clubs including a recent stint at Orlando City - Lake Nona where he qualified his 06 DPL girls’ team for National’s in his very first year. He has also held the position of Director of Girls Coach & Technical Director along his journey.

Prior to college coaching, MacCraw spent over 10 years as a high school coach making some powerful stops at Lake Highland Preparatory School, and Winter Park High School. In 2022, MacCraw led the Wildcats of Winter Park High School to their best finish in the school’s 7A class history, only to get edged out 1-0 in the state playoffs by Bartram Trail High School, a school that went on to win the state title and claim the #1 ranking in the country by MaxPreps.

For the past several years MacCraw has served as a Lead State Coach for the Florida Youth Soccer Association’s Olympic Development Program. Within the Olympic Development Program, MacCraw also serves as a staff coach for the powerful South Region.

Aside from coaching soccer, MacCraw specializes in the mental side of sport utilizing his vocational training as a Board-Certified Hypnotist, through the National Guild of Hypnosis, to enhance and develop athletes’ mental performance. He has worked with a myriad of athletes in a variety of sports including: football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, archery, and rodeo.

As a player, MacCraw played throughout his youth on various club soccer teams and later would play in high school once soccer became a varsity sport in his junior year. In college MacCraw was a left-wing starter as a Freshman on the University of Nebraska men’s club soccer team playing in the old Big-8 Conference. He also played Rugby and Boxed while attending UNL. Transferring schools to the University of North Dakota, MacCraw played club Rugby while finishing his undergraduate degree in Geography.

In the arena of coaching education MacCraw has progressed through all State and National Licensing programs within United States Soccer Federation including the USSF “A” License which he completed in 2017 at the IMG Academy under the tutelage of assessor John Ellinger (Former USMNT U17 Head Coach & Former USMNT Assistant Coach).
