Naima Harrington (Coach Na) is in her third year with the women's basketball program at Webber International University, and is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Warriors after spending her first two years as a graduate assistant coach.
Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, Harrington was a four-year member of the varsity basketball team at Menchville High School, where she was a four-time team captain and three-year team MVP. She was a three-time First Team All-Peninsula District Player, and was a district champion in 2009-10.
Harrington was rated as a top-five guard in the Peninsula District, and she received an NCAA DII basketball scholarship to play at Chowan University from 2011 to 2015. In 2013, Harrington was named the Most Improved Player of the Year on her team. In 2012, her team finished as the runner-up in the CIAA semi-finals.Â
Harrington graduated from Chowan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a minor in marketing. She then earned her MBA is sport business management at Webber in February 2019.
