Ivey Kane enters her first season as an Assistant Softball Coach for the Webber International University softball team. Kane is from Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Theodore High School in Theodore, Alabama, in 2014. Ivey was a shortstop during her tenure at Theodore.
After high school graduation, Kane attended Alabama Southern Community College where she was the starting second baseman for two years. Ivey graduated from Alabama Southern with her Associates of Science in May of 2016. She continued play for the next two years at Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee. She was a middle infielder in her last two years of play at Martin. Kane graduated from Martin Methodist College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Performance with an emphasis in Sports Management in May of 2018.
Before her first year of coaching, Kane finished out her internship at Martin Methodist, she then accepted her previous coaching position as the assistant softball coach of Coastal Alabama Community College. Following her first year as an assistant coach, Kane was selected to be the head coach of The Field with the professional American Softball Association in June of 2019.
Once the professional league had come to a close, Kane was hired as the assistant softball coach at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. She was the assistant softball coach for two years and obtained the role as defensive coach.
