Roger Peluso

Peluso joined Webber International University as the Head Men's Beach and Indoor Volleyball Coach in December of 2022.

Coach Peluso has 33 years of coaching experience that includes USA HP teams, regional teams, open-division club teams, high school teams, as well as NCAA camps.

Peluso recently concluded a very successful 2021-2022 campaign with his 352 Elite 18 Open Boy's club team. Throughout his career, Peluso has led 352 Elite to four AAU National Championships, two USAV National Championships, and a runner-up finish in the 17 Open Division. In 2022, his team finished in third place in the 18 Open Division and a final top three team according to AES national rankings. These achievements also led Peluso to be selected as the 2022 National AVCA Boys Club Coach of the Year.

Peluso produced the 2022 USA Today National Player of the Year, the 2022 Florida Player of the Year, and the two-time Orlando Sentinel Player of the Year. Additionally, his players received honors as AVCA & JVA 1st Team All-Americans, AAU MVP's, AAU & USAV Nationals All-Tournament Team and Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selections. And, as a result of holding his student athletes to a higher standard, Peluso's athletes have earned recognition as AVCA Academic All-Americans, AAU Academic All-Americans and FHSAA highest team GPA.
 
At the high school level, Peluso is in an elite category of coaches who have won both boy's and girl's volleyball FHSAA State Championships: 2022 Winter Park High School Boys Volleyball State Champions and 2013 Ransom Everglades Girls Volleyball State Champions. Peluso has received Coach of the Year honors from the AVCA, Florida Dairy Farmers and Miami-Dade County in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
 
Peluso earned his bachelor's degree from Long Island University in 1991 and played on the men's volleyball team. In his tenure at LIU, Peluso earned MVP honors and led his team to two EIVA Championships. He later earned a master's degree in physical education from Hofstra University.

Peluso and his wife, Christine, have two children, Ryan and Tyler. Ryan is a freshman setter at California State University at Long Beach and his daughter Tyler is a sophomore setter for Winter Park High School.
