    Track & Field Graduate Assistant Throws Coach
Chelsea Gobourne begins her first year as the Graduate Assistant Throws Coach for track & field at Webber International University in 2018-19.

Originally from Sarasota, Florida, and Riverview High School, Gobourne competed as a thrower at Florida International University and the University of Central Florida. At FIU, Gobourne was an All-Conference USA performer in 2014, and then she was a three-time All-American Athletic Conference and two-time NCAA East Region Preliminary Qualifier while at UCF.

In 2017, Gobourne was the University of Central Florida's Heart of the Knight Award recipient while her team was the American Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Champions.

Gobourne is also the record holder in the weight throw and former record holder in the hammer throw at UCF. She holds career marks of 12.49 meters in the shot put, 42.55 meters in the discus throw, 60.37 meters in the hammer throw and 20.56 meters in the weight throw.

Before Webber, Gobourne was an AAU Track & Field Coach at the Academy of Maximum Performance Track Club (AMP Athletics) in Sarasota, Florida, a Volunteer Throws Coach at Booker High School also in Sarasota, and was the Throws Coach for two years at Doral Academy Preparatory School in Miami, Florida.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (sports and fitness) from Florida International University.
