Webber International University Athletics

Alex Cummings enters his first as an Assistant Coach and Head JV Coach in 2023-24.  Cummings spent the 2022-2023 season as a graduate assistant coach with the basketball program. 

Prior to coming to Webber, he worked as a volunteer assistant at the University of South Florida with their Men’s Basketball team under former coach Brian Gregory.  

From 2019-2021 Cummings spent two years as an assistant coach at Westerville Central High School in Westerville, Ohio. In those two years Cummings worked with the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams. The Warhawks finished the season in the elite 8 of the State Tournament prior to cancellation from covid-19 in the spring of 2020. The following year the Warhawks fell short in the State Final, finishing as State Runners up.

Cummings is a graduate of Ohio University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Marketing in 2019. In 2017-19, while completing his undergraduate degree at Ohio University, he was a student manager for the men’s basketball program under former head coach Saul Phillips.   

Cummings is currently pursuing his Master’s of Business Administration from Webber International University.
