Webber International University Athletics

Coach Scales enters his third season at Webber International University. After serving as an Offensive Graduate Assistant working with the Tight Ends and Offensive Line, he was promoted to Defensive Line Coach in July 2025. In his first season leading the unit, Webber posted one of the top run defenses in the conference and recorded 22 total sacks. Freshman defensive lineman Omar Goosby earned Second Team All-Conference honors under his guidance.

Prior to joining Webber, Scales gained Division I experience at Lamar University, serving as an undergraduate assistant coach alongside current Webber Offensive Line Coach Zack Sharaf. His coaching career began with Lamar’s men’s basketball program (2020–2022), where he worked with centers and forwards as a student coach.
A native of Houston, Texas, Scales played football at Summer Creek High School in Humble, TX. He currently resides in Winter Haven, Florida, and is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
