Borders joins the Warriors after a prolific 17-season career where he played for 9 different MLB teams. Borders is a 2 time World Series Champion with the Toronto Blue Jays, winning the 1992 World Series MVP.
He won a Gold Medal competing with the United States in baseball at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. Most recently, Borders managed in the Philadelphia Phillies Organization from 2015 to 2021 for the Williamsport Crosscutters.
Borders is Inducted into the Polk County Hall of Fame and the Florida Sports Hall of Fame
He resides in Lake Wales, Florida with his wife Kathy with whom he has 9 children.
