Tim Desmarteau

Tim Desmarteau has had a long career in athletic training working with not only high school and college age athletes, but also professionals.

Desmarteau started his career when he was a student athletic trainer at Ohio University while completing his Bachelor's degree in health education with athletic training. Upon graduation in 1989, Tim was accepted into John Carroll University to further his athletic training career and undertake his Master's degree in education.

Desmarteau worked with the Cleveland Browns of the NFL before being hired by the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. It was through the foundation that Desmarteau made the move to Leesburg, Florida, to work within the Lake Center for Rehabilitation. He worked with the Lake Center for six years in their high school outreach program with the final two being the coordinator.

In 2000, Desmarteau was selected as the Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida's Corporate Athletic Trainer of the Year. Desmarteau made the move to Webber International University one year later to become the Head Athletic Trainer. It is here he oversees the medical coverage for each of the athletic programs and performs duties as an adjunct professor. He also formerly carried the title of Assistant Athletic Director at Webber.

Desmarteau is certified by the NATA and is also a licensed and certified athletic trainer in the state of Florida.
